Responsible Gambling
Gambling should remain a leisure activity and a source of entertainment. Before playing, decide how much time and money you can afford to spend. Keep control of your play and make sure gambling does not interfere with everyday life.
Keeping gambling under control
- Set a budget before you start.
- Avoid chasing losses, as this may lead to losing more.
- Keep track of how often and how long you play.
- Take breaks even when winning, and know when to stop.
- Treat gambling as entertainment, not a way to get rich or repay debts.
- Remember that no system or formula guarantees success.
- Do not gamble when depressed or upset.
- Balance gambling with other activities.
- Avoid alcohol and drugs while gambling.
Gambling self-assessment
Answer Yes or No to these questions:
- Do you spend more time or money gambling than you intended?
- Do you gamble to recover previous losses?
- Have you borrowed money or used money needed for essentials to gamble?
- Has gambling affected your relationships or responsibilities?
- Have you struggled to reduce or stop gambling?
This short checklist is a reflection tool, not a diagnosis. A Yes answer may indicate a concern, while answering No throughout does not guarantee that gambling is harmless. If you are concerned, consider taking a break and seeking support from the National Council on Problem Gambling or Gamblers Anonymous.
Deposit limits
You can set daily, weekly, and monthly deposit limits on your account. Contact the support to discuss the available options. Increasing or removing an existing limit requires a 24-hour waiting period before the change takes effect.
Self-exclusion
If gambling is becoming a problem, you can request:
- A cooling-off period of 24 hours to 6 weeks.
- A 6-month self-exclusion period, subject to the account reopening conditions below.
Once applied, self-exclusion cannot be reversed. Consider this decision carefully and speak with a gambling support group if you are unsure.
Requesting self-exclusion
Contact support to discuss the available restrictions and choose an option suited to your needs. After this consultation, send an email request from the address registered to your casino account. Self-exclusion must not be considered active until the Casino sends confirmation to that address.
Exclusion from other operators
You should also self-exclude from other gambling operators where you hold accounts. Submit a Comprehensive Self-Exclusion request to the Commission to help maximise the effectiveness of your exclusion.
Account reopening and Casino exclusions
Casino Action may permanently close an account at its sole discretion if reopening it is considered unwise or unhealthy. The Casino may also initiate exclusion where it believes an account holder has a gambling problem, or where continued gambling would not be in the account holder’s or the Casino’s best interests.
New accounts during self-exclusion
We make every effort to identify new accounts opened by self-excluded users. However, self-excluded account holders must refrain from opening additional accounts. We cannot accept responsibility for gambling activity where you attempt to circumvent our systems.
Age restrictions and protection of minors
Casino Action permits play only by people older than 19 years of age, or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is greater. Minors may not play under any circumstances. All play by an ineligible person, including any resulting winnings, will be voided. We may request proof of age at any stage.
